When a couple decides to elope, its typically a secret and hurried affair. For this Juntos Por Siempre we've found an elopment just the opposite–a Mexican inspired elopement celebration! Complete with a beautiful photoshoot, unique tabletop, and Mexican folk inspiration (from RuffledBlog):

Soft yellows and pinks, subdued greens, and a backdrop of organic materials like burlap, clay, and wood make this beautiful Mexican themed wedding by Alchemy Fine Events & Invitations, unique and less saturated than other Mexican inspired celebrations. The neutral color palette of this wedding also allows for the few bright red, teal and dark green hues to stand out brilliantly–really a charming wedding!

Even the conchas and the rest of the pan dulce match the colors of the wedding!

How fun is this Mexican inspired wedding photo shoot?  I absolutely love the festive feel and bright colors.  And those flowers?! Sooo lovely...sigh. What do you think?  Too much?  Or just the right amount of Mexican goodness?

Juntos Por Siempre: Hot Pink & Grapefruit

Bursts of bright, hot pink paper flowers, a bouquet of bugambilias, pops of color juxtaposed with organic elements, and refreshing grapefruit cocktails create the perfect palette for a festive and sophisticated wedding – and that is exactly the celebration we've created for our first Juntos Por Siempre wedding!

We love to celebrate at Casa Artelexia. Whether its putting on folksy art workshops or Frida Kahlo look-alike parties, planning a celebration is kind of our thing, and we strive to incorporate the beautiful, traditional elements of Mexico and Mexican festivities within our own celebrations. Juntos Por Siempre, or "together forever", is the point where Mexican inspiration meets the modern day wedding:

This Juntos Por Siempre wedding is about combining natural touches with bright colors and folk elements: and speaking of, this canopy (left) is covered in large, hot pink and white paper flowers with crepe paper streamers. The pinwheels and dotted garland are fun touches, and the entire canopy really has a free, bohemian feel–especially with the desert as a backdrop. And the menu? We'd like to think grapefruit cocktails and traditional Mexican wedding cookies would be included!

The bride's dress is as simple and sophisticated as her "messy" braided hair-do and pink flowers. Definitely a free spirited look that's perfect for this wedding! 

It isn't a Mexican celebration without a burro! Just kidding, but this little fellow would be an adorable addition to our Hot Pink & Grapefruit wedding. Especially because he carries a woven basket full of pink paper flowers: a traditional folk art form in Mexico that can also be found in every corner of Casa Artelexia.

The bouquet of pink and violet bugambilia with peach, white, and yellow flowers looks beautiful above this simple place setting. Remember when I mentioned those organic elements? You can find them in this woven straw placemat and the maplewood table which it rests on. 

Bringing in mariachis is a surefire way to bring traditional Mexican music into a wedding and liven things up a bit!
