Guess who's going to start carrying rolls and rolls of the colorful fabric we know and love as oilcloth?  That's right, Casa Artelexia!  Aren't you super excited?!  I am.  Finally, I can cross off one of my to-do's, reupholstering a piece of furniture.  That means you can buy oilcloth by the yard at a very affordable price, and make a million-and-one crafts with it.  Here are a few of my favorite.  What would you make with some oilcloth???

You've got mail!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE to receive cards in the mail. Unfortunately, with the internet being what it is, we (at least I do) email more than we write. I have decided that I am going to get off of my computer and take the time to write my friends and family each week. I have set a goal of three cards per week. This week I am going to send one of these postcards to the first three people that leave a comment here. Mexican Fiesta Dinner Party

Tequila, Mezcal, Sotol

Turkey Burgers

Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground turkey
1 pack of Saltine crackers, crumbs
1 cup of cilantro, chopped
3 Serrano chiles, diced
1-2 eggs 3/4 cup red onion 1 tbsp Salsa Maggi 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Shape turkey mixture into 6 patties. Heat 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add burgers- cook until brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Reduce heat to low and cook until burgers are cooked throughout.

Option: Add pepper jack cheese for extra spiciness!

Pimm's Cup

This British favorite is perfect for any summer occasion. 1 part Pimm's No. 1 (50 proof, gin based alcohol) , 2 parts 7Up, mint leaves, slices of lemons, oranges, strawberries and cucumbers. Here is a similar recipe with instructions via Bon Appetit.
